Pursuant to the International Labor Law No. 6735, it is obligatory to obtain a work permit from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security in order to employ a foreign national in our country. Penal and administrative action is taken against foreigners working in Turkey without a valid work permit. Entry to Turkey, passport, visa and residence permit issues of foreigners determined to work without permission are examined, and those whose status is illegal are deported.
Established in accordance with the Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102; Foreigners who are the directors of the limited companies, the members of the board of directors who are the partners of the joint stock companies, and the limited partners of the limited companies whose capital is divided into shares, can work by obtaining a work permit. Established according to Law No. 6102; Members of the board of directors of joint stock companies who do not reside in Turkey, Partners of other companies who do not have the title of manager, are considered within the scope of work permit exemption.
Work permits are given to foreigners in Turkey through a specific workplace or business. There is no permit system that allows foreigners to work in any workplace they want.
It is not possible to apply domestically for foreigners who are in our country with a tourist visa. Domestic applications can be made for foreigners with a total duration of at least 6 months and a residence permit whose validity has not expired.
